The Parent Educators and Kids (PEAK) Homeschool Network is made up of inclusive, member-led local groups that encourage members to share resources, learn together and build a diverse community. We welcome all homeschooling families who enjoy participating in a collaborative environment with people of differing beliefs and viewpoints.
PEAK groups are a great way for families to connect with other local homeschoolers for real-life activities and friendships. To learn more about our groups and find one in your area, visit our Local Activities page. PEAK members also enjoy the benefits of being part of a larger network: sharing ideas and resources with other PEAK groups, learning from the experiences of a wide variety of people, and having the support and encouragement of a friendly, diverse community.

The PEAK network is inclusive and encourages diversity. Our membership includes various ethnicities and cultures, divergent spiritual and religious worldviews, assorted political and social philosophies, and a broad range of educational approaches involving children from all levels of ability in families of different shapes and sizes.
The first PEAK group was started by Natalie Winningham in 2004 in Jackson, Mississippi. New to homeschooling and looking for support, Natalie soon realized the faith-based groups in the area weren’t a good fit for her family. Wanting a diverse, inclusive community, and inspired by an article about member-led groups in Home Education Magazine, she created PEAK. Within a few months, families in other areas heard about this new group and wanted to bring PEAK to their own communities. The PEAK Network expanded rapidly and continues to grow.
