Ferdinand the Bull at ASF
We all thoroughly enjoyed the Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s production of Ferdinand the Bull. Our seats were front row center in the Octagon, and the kids enjoyed some interaction with the performers during the play. What a fun time!
Mooseum!
The Alabama Cattleman’s Mooseum was a fun day, as usual. We learned about the history of the cattle industry and all its different products, as well as some cow anatomy, eating habits and growth patterns. The kids enjoyed the “cattle club” room most: they dressed up in cowboy gear, cooked in the play kitchen and pretended to be rodeo clowns hiding behind a read rodeo barrel.
Tiger Antics
November gave us perfect weather for a zoo trip! The kids were more interested in the playground than looking at animals, so the parents were able to enjoy some sit-down conversation. The favorite moment of the day was the tiger sticking out his tongue at us. He apparently didn’t like the taste of the prickly holly bush!
