Splash Books
This month was kid’s choice, with everyone bringing one of their favorite books to share with the group. The location was a bit distracting, but we did manage to get in some book talk in between splash sessions.
Geocaching
For our August meeting, we learned how to use a handheld GPS device and enjoyed a geocache game of hide-and-seek. It was boys versus girls, and everyone had a great time hiding their cache for the other team to find.
Summer Books
For this month’s book club meeting, the kids shared stories about summer vacation. We enjoyed hearing about what everyone did (or dreamed of doing) over their summer, then spent some time feeding the ducks and turtles.
