About Our Group

We are an inclusive group of local home educators in Montgomery, Alabama. Our membership includes people with many different viewpoints: religious and non-religious, liberal and conservative, school-at-home and unschooling, just to name a few. We respect the differences in our beliefs and choices and enjoy learning from each other. We welcome all tolerant, open-minded families who are looking for a diverse community to support them in their homeschooling journey. Come join us–we love meeting new people!
Our Activities: PEAK is member-led and we encourage all members to plan activities and add them to the group calendar at any time. We currently have two weekly park days, a 4-H group, a book club, a monthly zoo day, various field trips and two monthly Mother’s Nights Out on our calendar, with more activities being planned.
Our Online Community: We use the PEAK Network forums to post activities, manage our group calendar and keep in touch between real-life gatherings. Our local boards are private, and new members must post an introduction before gaining access to our boards and calendar.
