El Dia de los Muertos
We celebrated el Dia de los Muertos by decorating sugar skulls and skull masks. The Day of the Dead is a Mexican/Latin American holiday to celebrate and remember the lives of loved ones who have died. What a fun way to learn about another culture!
Math Club
Math Club is an opportunity for kids to get together and play math games. Games, as well as books of ideas of presenting math in creative, fun and nontraditional ways, are available for check-out to take home and enjoy until the next Math Club meeting. After Math Club, we enjoyed the unseasonably cooler weather and played at a nearby park.
Play day at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center!
We had a fun play day at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport! The kids had a blast playing and the moms had an equally enjoyable time talking with each other.
Back to school pool party
You know you are a homeschooler if you go swimming while all the other kids are sitting inside a classroom.
Summer kick-off party!
We celebrated the beginning of summer with a pool party! We took advantage of the other kids being in school and had the pool to ourselves. The moms enjoyed talking with each other while the kids played in the cool water. What a great way to celebrate summer, homeschooling and PEAK of Ocean Springs/Biloxi!
